European Research Academy on Alzheimer’s Disease

Become an independent researcher, find your research niche, develop professionally, learn how to write successful applications and meet important figures in the field of dementia research!

The Alzheimer Forschung Initiative e.V., Alzheimer Nederland, Fondation Vaincre Alzheimer and the Stiftung Synapsis Schweiz present the European Research Academy on Alzheimer’s Disease (ERA-AD).

The ERA-AD is a 5-day academy for young Alzheimer’s researchers where they have the opportunity to learn from renowned scientists how to become independent researchers.

In addition, prominent scientists present their latest findings and provide important insights. Combined with daily professional development sessions, the academy helps to find a research niche.

Applications can be submitted by PhD/ MD students from their third year onwards, as well as post-docs up to 6 years* after their doctorate. *Parental leave (1 year per child) is taken into account.

The applicant must be employed at

- a german public state university OR

- a public medical center OR

- an institution that belongs to the Leibniz Gemeinschaft, the Helmholtz Gemeinschaft, the Max-Planck Gesellschaft or the Fraunhofer Gesellschaft
