European Alzheimer Academy Workshop 2024
The first edition of the European Alzheimer Academy Workshop (EAAW) was a great success.
The workshop took place in Bertinoro, Italy, from March 17 to 21, 2024. A total of 40 early-career researchers – PhD students and young postdocs – came together to exchange ideas, develop professionally and build international networks.
The aim of the workshop was to support participants in writing successful grant applications and identifying their research niche. The small group size created an open and collaborative atmosphere, allowing participants to engage closely with experienced scientists and establish connections for future collaborations.
Scientific presentations on topics such as diagnosis, clinical symptoms, pathogenesis and risk factors provided valuable insights into current developments in Alzheimer’s research.
From 2026 onwards, the workshop continues as the European Research Academy on Alzheimer’s Disease (ERA-AD).
