European Research Academy on Alzheimer’s Disease (ERA-AD) in 2026
The academy 2026 was a great success!
The European Research Academy on Alzheimer’s Disease (ERA-AD) formerly known as European Alzheimer Academy Workshop (EAAW) was a great success in its second edition! The academy took place in Bertinoro, Italy, from March 1st-5th. Of 40 originally registered participants, 38 early career researchers – advanced PhD students and young postdocs – came together to build a network, learn how to write successful applications, get together with experienced international researchers and develop professionally.
In the 2026 edition the network between the German Alzheimer Forschung Initiative, the Dutch Alzheimer Nederland and the French Fondation Vaincre Alzheimer was expanded to include the Swiss Synapsis Foundation Switzerland. Each organization had the chance to select 10 participants working in the respective country.
The next edition (2028) is already being planned!
